CertKeeper ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Local Storage: All your data is stored locally on your device with encryption. Your certifications, documents, and personal information remain on your device.
Cloud Sync: Your data is synced to secure cloud storage (Firebase/Firestore) to back up and sync across devices. For email accounts, Cloud Sync is always enabled. For Apple Sign-In accounts, you can enable Cloud Sync in Settings. When enabled, your certifications, vaccinations, CEU credits, work badges, state licenses, and profile are stored securely and synced across all devices where you sign in with the same account.
Calendar Sync (Premium Feature): When enabled, CertKeeper creates calendar events in your iOS calendar for certification expirations and employment requirement deadlines. These events are stored in your device's calendar and synced through your iCloud account. We do not access or modify existing calendar events.
Email Reminders (Premium Feature): When enabled, CertKeeper sends email reminders to your registered email address for critical alerts. Your email address is retrieved from your account and used solely for sending reminder notifications.
No Third-Party Sharing (Except AI): We do not sell or trade your personal information. The only exception is when you use AI-powered features; see the AI-Powered Features section below.
CertKeeper offers AI-powered features (resume analysis, career chat, certificate extraction, recommendations). When you use these features:

When you sign in with Apple, we only receive your name and email (if you choose to share it). We do not have access to your Apple ID password or other Apple account information.

CertKeeper is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at Admin@certkeeper.app and we will delete such information.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last Updated" date.
